Lockers at Kintetsu Nara Station

Kintetsu Nara Station is busier than JR Nara Station, so it has a lot more lockers. The station has a large number of lockers on the B1 basement level, both inside and outside the ticket gates. You can find some smaller lockers on the passageway that runs between the east and west ticket gates.

However, most of the lockers are concentrated on the south-west side of the station and are closer to the west ticket gates. There are many large-sized lockers here too.

Oversized Luggage Storage

There are other luggage storage options if your bags are too big for a locker. At JR Nara Station you can store your luggage at the Nara City Tourist Information Center which is located outside the east exit of the station building. The service runs from 9:00 to 16:00, with reception until 14:00, and luggage must be picked up by 16:00 on the day it is deposited.

At Kintetsu Nara Station, the Tourist Information Center inside the station building does not offer baggage storage services. However, there are several locations nearby that offer this service.

KANEMO Left Luggage Office offers storage from 8:00 to 20:00. Suitcases start at 500 yen, while smaller items start at 300 yen, and fees apply only until 20:00 on the day of deposit. Guests storing luggage for more than one day or bringing unusually large items are asked to check with the staff.

Nearby, YAMAMOTO Left Luggage Office provides another option, charging 250 yen for hand luggage and 400 yen for suitcases. It operates from 6:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and from 7:00 to 20:00 on holidays. Bicycle storage can be reserved for 400 yen.

Hotel Hanakomichi also offers luggage storage daily from 9:00 to 19:00, with a fee of 500 yen per item or 600 yen when using the second floor front desk.

Tourist Information Center at Kintetsu Nara Station will be happy to direct you to the nearest luggage storage facility.
